Vegeta receives Superbrand status

Superbrands 2006/07, a book published by Superbrands Adriatic, Croatian subsidiary of the international organization Superbrands was presented. Among 15 000 brands present in Croatian market, the status and the sign of Superbrand was awarded to Vegeta, one of the most recognized Croatian brands along with three other Podravka brands – Čokolino, Fini-Mini soups and Podravka brand.
Based on numerous data by the market research agencies, a multidisciplinary council comprised of 34 members selected 700 finalist brands and the Superbrand status and the sign was given to 98 of them. Products rewarded are those that are highly prized and distinguished in excellence in any way, from quality through design to popularity with the consumers, Superbrands Adriatic region director Borut Zemljić pointed out. Podravka is also the only Croatian company to receive Superbrand rewards abroad, for its own name and for the most recognized Croatian brand – Vegeta.
Next to Croatian brands such as domestic Vegeta, Čokolino, Fini-Mini, Gavrilović, island of Hvar, Croatia Airlines, Vindija and Janica Kostelić, the Superbrands list in Croatia also contains foreign products such as American Express, Dove, Kinder, Knorr, National Geographic and other.
Superbrands organization exists since 1994 and is present in 60 countries around the world, cooperating with manufacturers of 2 400 brands. Croatia was the 55th country to enter this international organization in early 2006.
